established in 1890 and we're still young!
Smith Chapel had its beginnings in the mid-nineteenth century, serving the Beach Mill area as a congregation of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Through the years, the church has continued to serve the needs of the community. The present white frame building was built in 1890. The education-fellowship hall (we call Lambert Hall) was consecrated in 1960. In 2024, Smith Chapel has become a part of the Global Methodist Church with a vision to love God and love our neighbors undergirded by the gospel. We hope to be your church home where we love, listen, learn, and lead for the sake of God’s Kingdom.
